Why the "First Day" Rule?

The STAR School environment is different from a track day, or from a track day provider who also offers optional instruction. STAR offers instruction and guidance first and foremost. Proper instruction speeds your learning curve and reduces the chance of developing bad habits and technique.

Jason covers the STAR Philosophy, Goals, and rules on Day 1. He also assigns specific drills, which allow you to acclimate to the racetrack and prepare for the day. The classroom lectures are arranged as a compliment to the previous lecture. At the end of each classroom session you receive specific goals to work on during the following track session. Following this model, our Day 2 lectures build on what is learned in Day 1.

The two-day format may sound like a marketing ploy to get you on the hook for more days, but the simple fact is it works. STAR has many repeat students who have attended dozens of schools, and they still come for Day 1. There is nothing like going home, reflecting on the day, and returning to the track on Day 2 refreshed and renewed.

Finally, for you racers who think that you should be able to test out of Day 1 and jump right to cutting fast laps, Jordan Suzuki's Jake Holden and AMA Supersport Podium Finisher Danny Eslick still comes to Day 1. Seems to work for them.
