Nov 12, 2005 at Pahrump - "One of the best experiences"

Just wanted to say thank you for a very enjoyable experience at your November 2005 Pahrump school. All of your instructors were very friendly and extremely helpful. I especially wanted to thank Chris for all of his help. And, of course, the two up ride with Jason was awesome. One of the best experiences in my life.

Thanks again, and see you guys at Miller in Salt Lick City.

October 3, 2005 at Thunderhill - "It was amazing!"

Hello, my name is Zac Kueny, and I just attended your 10/3-10/4 school at Thunderhill-it was amazing! -everyday since then when I am driving, or at work something I learned at the school pops into my head, and I am so grateful to Jason and all the staff/instructors for all the expert instruction I was given- I can't wait to attend your school again. I went to your website and watched the GSXR video of Thunderhill backwards (very cool) - is there any way I can get a DVD copy of those couple laps? I will gladly pay for it, or donate to one of your charities. The video is so cool I can't get enough of it, and if I had a copy I would probably watch it every day until I can attend your school again- very inspirational.

Thanks again, Z

Sept 26, 2005 at the Streets - "It's a bargain for the knowledge that is gained"

I attended your class at "Streets" on Sep. 26 & 27. It was so much fun. I learned alot about my riding, mainly that my technique needed alot of work, but after practicing the skills I learned from you guys, my riding has greatly improved. I have become smoother and alot faster. Mostly I have gained alot of confidence in my riding. I will be attending another class next time you guys come to "streets". $575 may sound pricey to other people, but it's a bargain for the knowledge that is gained. Also Jason is one of the coolest down to earth guys I have ever met. All the instructors were a ton of help. The whole organization was just "user friendly". Kudos to you guys and STAR,keep up the great work, and I'll see you guys in March.

Thanks,
J A

"Top Notch Staff"

Jason, Sheila, and staff at STAR,

I checked out the website today after awhile, and the Instructor page was really a nice upgrade. It was really cool to see the pics of your top notch staff in their natural habitat.

I recall JT advising me that I want my chain slack and tire pressures a bit lower for the track. You folks are the best, and I wanted to give you all kudos for passing on some of your knowledge to the riding public through your schools.

Ride Safe,

August 8, 2005 @ Loudon - "N.H. Happy Boy"

Hello to Star School,

A friendly thank you for making my Loudon Star school a truly AWESOME experience! I want to thank you're whole staff for being so helpful, not only at the track but with all the phone calls to the office to make sure I went there all prepared - bike and body. To tell you the whole experience I would take up your whole day. But to actually be taught by Jason was, well lets just say a dream come true,he is truly a great sportsman who loves motorcycling from the heart. The people their were so friendly and helpful. Every question was answered and then worked with on the track.I have been talking non-stop since I've been back,or to anyone who will listen. My poor wife! I do have one question is it possible to buy the Star School sticker on the bikes at the school, the white ones I joined NESBA and am going to do a lot of track days and am so damn proud I want to show off your school and tell every one how awsome your school is. One last question - when may I sign up for Loudon N.H. 2006? Ride safe and have a great day.

August 8, 2005 @ Loudon - "Thanks a bunch - NHIS was fabulous!"

Jason and Crew,

I just want to say that my first StarSchool will be one of those memories I'll never forget. I want my kids to go when they get old enough--just so they can experience what it's like. I'd like to say "thanks" up front.

I'm the guy with the VFR and had a problem with my bike on the first day, but on Tuesday I used a Star School SV650 and tried to apply everything that everyone else got to try on Day 1. I have to say the SV650 is a great little bike to ride on the track (stock suspension and street tires). I'm really glad I got the chance to learn on the SV, using what I was taught in the classroom--basically everything I learned in the classroom got translated onto the track.

I also got to ride two-up on JP's GSXR1000 at the beginning of my last session -- by the way this was mindblowing! JP is so fast it is sick, almost frightening to watch. Two-up is even more sick because you get to feel everything he does when he does it, right at every point on the track--you look where he looks, feel his braking points, shift points--how he lets out the clutch etc…and it is totally exausting just sitting on the bike riding bitch when he's flying around the track passing people like they are standing still.

After that everything gelled for me even more and the whole track just seemed a lot easier to ride. Body position, shift points, engine braking, passing, and laps just seemed to take so much less effort. I basically met all of my goals for the two-day course in one day. I also think my street riding will be safer now that I understand so much better how everything works together (and I've been riding since I was ten!).

I can't tell you guys why it worked so well other than the instructors gave me enough one-on one time (Thanks primarily James Lick, Dean Mizdal , Mark Gallardo on the track and Mark and Jason in the class-room) that was extremely well focused and easy to understand--primarily trying to be smooth and doing things correctly, rather than trying to be fast. Combine that with the two-up ride with Jason and everything just fell into place--I wouldn't have dreamed I could have improved so much in one day.

Definitely money well spent. Absolutely terrific bunch of guys to learn from. Great atmosphere. I couldn't recommend it more, and my friends are probably going to get sick of me raving about it. To top it off, the Jason is just a super nice down to earth kind of guy who is a high performing AMA superbike racer so I believe he puts his money where his mouth is on technique and attitude etc... The rest of team also couldn't have been more knowledgable, skilled and helpful.

I am still overwhelmed with the experience and the great time I had this week. Thanks for all the great work you guys do and see you next time, maybe at VIR or Thunderhill!

Sincerely,

M R

July 18th, 2005 @ Autobahn Raceway - "The Time of My Life!"

I was fortunate to participate in the Autobahn Class in July and had the time of my life! Two worn out knee sliders, blue front rotors, ground down pegs and boots are all evidence that I reached a level of riding that could not be attained on the street. My 1991 VFR and I came home tired but happy! I'm in the process of planning my next visit to the school which will be as soon a finances (and family) will allow. A track machine is in my thoughts or at least a more capable street ride so I will be better prepared to play. Look out EBAY, I'm liquidating!

The Star team were excellent and provided tremendous support and guidance while I added up almost three hundred miles in two days on this short track. I would say that I had at least an hour of one on one time with the instructors over the two days. Each instructor brought something unique to the plate and all were constructive and relevant as well as friendly. There was no pressure and I really felt like "one of the guys", with all due respect to the ladies that attended of course. Michael Jordon joined us at and on the track for both days but he was so low key that I didn't even know he was there till the second day. It was about the bikes, not the egos and everyone came away better for it. I came away wishing that I had done this 20 years ago! Why did I wait? We all have similar stories and excuses are easy to find with families and financial pressures usually front and center.

I have been actively trying to enlist other riders to come along but despite my enthusiasm, they are reluctant to step up. Iwill not stop spreading the word! They are wasting precious time on the street and need to experience what Star has to offer.

Please pass on my best wishes to Jason and the team with the school and in their respective racing endeavors. I hope to see them again soon!

Regards,

June 13, 2005 @ Road America - "Like I said, I'm hooked!"

Hi!

I was a student at Road America on June 13th and 14th. It was my first time ever on a track, and it was everything I had imagined. I’m hooked! After a few one-on-one sessions with Buzz on day two, everything changed. I was going through the Carousel and the chicane ten miles per hour faster after only a few laps. I know I’m a complete novice, and with my late start at track riding (I’m 36) I am aware of my limitations. But that doesn’t bother me. I love the feeling of the speed and controlling the bike like I never have before. Without a doubt I will be enrolling in more of your schools in future. I’m even going to build a dedicated track bike. Like I said, I’m hooked!

For the last six years I have been a ski instructor at a ski area in Utah. One of my favorite and most effective teaching methods is Follow-the-Leader. It worked for me as an instructor, and it has always worked for me as a life-long student of skiing. So when Buzz suggested a few sessions of Follow-the-Leader on sportbikes, I was excited and optimistic. He told me what to look for when I followed him, i.e. body position, corner lines, etc. That was perfect. It took the ‘thinking’ out of the game for me. It’s easy for a novice to get a little overwhelmed out there, but when I was just following I ended up ridingby instinct and feel, and I was consistently cornering much faster. I love this. I need more.

Thank you again, and I WILL be seeing you again in the future.

May 24, 2005 @ Second Creek - "Colorado School Kudos "

Please pass along to Jason my congratulations and kudos for an excellent Star Motorcycle course taught at Colorado’s Second Creek Raceway May 23,24 2005.

I thought it was the perfect blend of:

1). Classroom

2). Abundant track time

3). Top flight instructors

4). Informal discussion and story telling about racing and riding

I found all to be professional and personable. My skill level improved significantly participating with the advanced rider group. I thought watching the demonstration rides out on the track and then accompanying Jason on a ride especially noteworthy. It showed me directly what was possible and how it could be done… that I could be more confident with the bike and take it further than I had before. This was my personal result by the end of Day 1 training, and even more so by the end of Day 2 when I really went to another level. All expectations exceeded. Take a bow.

May 23, 2005 @ Second Creek - "I will be returning as soon as possible"

Jason and Company,

I just wanted to take a little time to thank everyone once again for a wonderful experience. This was by far the best school I have attended and the quality of instruction was second to none. Throughout the course the information was presented in a very straightforward fashion that seems almost too simple until you realize that is the point, to "keep it simple" as Jason points out. I spent today at my "home" track (the Pueblo, CO track) and dropped 6 seconds off my best lap time without working hard at all. Just spending the time putting all of the techniques into practice gave me "free" speed with no extra effort. In addition to the excellent class time the on-track instruction was also first rate. All of the guys were great but I would like to extend a special thanks to both Dean Mizdal and Steve Mikolas. Dean and Steve both went above and beyond to help me with a few problem areas and that level of service really means something to me. So if you could pass that along to them I would really appreciate it, and also let them know I will be pulling for them in the races this year, those wiley "old" guys have a few tricks up their sleeves I am sure.

As for Jason himself, what can I say. In my line of work I come in contact with quite a few professional athletes and Jasonis by far the most humble and approachable I have met. He was like one of the guys (albeit a very fast one) and his enthusiasm for teaching is very apparent. The two-up ride was honestly one of the most exciting things I have ever experienced and something I will never forget. I wish Jason all the best this season and I will definetly be cheering for him every step of the way.

Thank you again for a wonderful time and I will be returning as soon as possible.

April 25, 2005 "Get Well Bro!"

Hey Jason,

It’s Dan (with the R6 and at your school in Pahrump a couple months ago with Teri). I saw your crash on TV and just read how severe it is with your spleen injury on Cyclenews. May you have a quick recovery so you can school me again!

To give you some positive news, I dropped over three seconds off my Willow lap times the month after your class and took third from a 19th start! Not just that, but I was barely fatigued because I was so much more comfortable on the bike… good stuff.

Take Care

April 25, 2005 @ Laguna - "I learned the most from this school than any other"

After taking Jason's Star at Laguna this year, everytime I see him race I consider him my teacher.

I learned the most from this school than any other I have attended. Just want to say thank you to all the instructors and people that put all this together.

April 13, 2005 @ Thunderhill - "Buzz is awesome"

I attended the school at Thunderhill the last two days. Just wanted to let you know that it was a great experience, just like last October. Seems like it might have even been better this time based upon how much one on one I received.

Buzz is awesome. I asked him to take a look at my body position and he really nailed it. What a difference. I love it when things click and I can go back out on the track and see the difference right away.

I had similar experiences with Chris and Dean Mizdol. Keep up the great work. I will return every time you visit Thunderhill, at least as long as I can ride. I mentioned this to Jason also, but having a photographer out on the track would just add a little whipped cream to the dessert! Just a thought. I have had that happen at another school and those are pictures that are rally fun to look back on from time to time. The other suggestion would be a school store to buy hats and shirts and things like that. Those are fun goodies to keep up juiced up until the next school.

Take care and thanks.

April 11, 2005 " 1 day @ Jason Pridmore's School - priceless"

Crashed 04 R6 - $5500

Helmet, Gloves, Boots, Leathers - $1500

1 day @ Jason Pridmore's school - Priceless

I am just writing you guys to thank you for everything, the class was one of thing best thing to happen to me in the last two years. I think that my brain expanded after I went to that class, I only went on monday but the stuff that i learned was invaluable. When I got home everybody was asking me how the class was and I was like "let me get back to you because I am still trying to absorb all that I learned".

I keep mumbling to myself "don't squeeze the baby chicks!" and when I go around a corner I am breathing in through my nose and out through my mouth! by the end of the day i was riding ten times as smooth and most off all I finally have confidence while on the track. I am definetly going to sign up for the class again.

I am late for work now but i would like to thak all of you guys @ the STAR School, all the instructors especially Mark he is the man, Lick instructing the class during the afternoon, and that gorgeous young lady who was doing check in.

"Jason Pridmores STAR school, the greatest thing to happen to me in my 24 years of existance on this planet"
